McConnell caught this 158kg Black marlin aboard Truded V after almost 4
hours of long, hard fighting. Father Stan and son Tom are also in
the pictured. |
 |
| Alongside are the
results of an excellent outing had by Veroslav, his son and friends.
The marlin was tagged and released, with an
estimated weight in excess of 120Kg.
Tagging a big fish provides immense
satisfaction, but it's also nice taking home some nice steaks of yellowfin
tuna.

the hottest spots on the coast for yellowfin Tuna; alongside is Paul Bush
and his mates (from Mitchell Glass in Fyshwick) with a good example of the
fish that can be caught. |

A nice striped marlin for 2005... thanks
guys for letting us use your photos. Tim, the angler, had a great
day as you can see by the size of his smile. The fish weighed 94.2Kg
caught on 37Kg line.
Pictured alongside are Tim, Dirk, Bill, Rud,
and David.

| Here are some
fantastic Mahi Mahi, otherwise commonly called dolphin fish. The
bigger fish weighed 16Kg caught by Steve Mahoney and the other fish
weighed 10Kg caught by Anthony Kennedy. The other two guys are Alan
and Paul. |

| These series of
photos are taken from the recent Mazda Classic. They depict an
angler locked into battle with a large Yellofin Tuna. The next two
shots take us to the gaff point and then the exuberance of success! |
